Synopsis

Leyla (13) lives with her mother, father and sister in a village. Her family earn their living by working on a farm as a worker. Leyla helps her family, supports the household economy and takes care of her little sister.

Leyla is a student in the middle school who continues her education online due to Covid-19. She attends the lecture via her mobile phone because her computer is not functioning. However, there is an important homework project that she has to prepare on the computer. She shares this situation neither with her teacher nor with her family. Because her family’s financial situation is not adequate.

Leyla, who wants to find a solution to this situation, comes across a rather uninterested principal and a pile of application forms when she goes to the school to apply for tablet support. She sees the weightlifting competition announcement and the laptop that will be given as a prize at the school gate, when she has lost her hope from there too. She immediately goes and registers. Although she is making good progress, her mother is seriously opposed when she finds out the situation. While Leyla continues to work on her own, she gets into a tough struggle between school, weightlifting and her family.
